Thurston County Rural Rezone goes into effect
(Olympia, Washington) The Thurston County Rural Rezone goes into effect today at 5:00. There was a moratorium on subdividing land in Thurston County, Washington. The moratorium on residential subdivision is ending at the same time for the remaining properties under moratorium located outside of urban growth areas. The county ended up rezoning some parcels but most of the county was left alone. This land rezone was the result of a lawsuit that the county lost over it's growth management plan.
